The following prototype and pre-production shipping options are available for
raw metal parts. Add two business days for plated parts. Painted and powder
coated parts typically require additional time:
Expedited 48 Hour Ship
At times Rapid Sheet Metal Inc is able to ship parts in 48 hours after receipt of
order and acceptable 3D files. In order to do so, we require a 3D model at the
RFQ stage that can be turned into a flat without engineering. This applies for
unfinished parts only; plating and painting add time. Hardware can be inserted
if it is in stock or can be obtained within 24 hours.
Orders must be received by 8:00 PM EST. For example, an order received at 11:00
AM on a Monday would ship no later than Wednesday for Thursday delivery via
FedEx Overnight or UPS Red.
There is a 75% premium for 48 Hour Ship services.
Expedited 3 Business Day Ship
A 3D model is required at the RFQ stage that can be turned into a flat without
engineering.
Orders must be received by 8:00 PM EST. For example, an order received at 11:00
AM on a Monday would ship no later than Thursday for Friday delivery via FedEx
Overnight or UPS Red.
There is a 50% premium for 3 business bay ship services.
Expedited 4 or 5 Business Day Ship
A 3D model is preferred at the RFQ stage that can be turned into a flat without
engineering.
Orders must be received by 8:00 PM EST. For example, an order received at 11:00
AM on a Monday would ship no later than the following Monday for Tuesday
delivery via FedEx Overnight or UPS Red.
There is a 35% premium for 4 business days ship services.
There is a 25% premium for 5 business days ship services.
1-2 Week Standard Ship from our
facility schedule*:

Standard shipment of unfinished parts is 5-7 business days.
Standard shipment of Plated Parts or powder coated parts done in-house is 7-9
business days.
Standard shipment of painted/ powder coated Parts is 10-12 business days
depending upon availability of paint or powder.
Orders must be received by 8:00 PM EST. For example, an order of an unfinished
part received at 11:00 AM on a Monday would ship no later than a week from the
following Thursday for Friday delivery via FedEx Overnight or UPS Red.
